New Temporary resident to Permanent resident Pathway
Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino said on April 14, 2021, that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada intended to establish a number of new immigration options for permanent residency for critical employees and foreign graduates who are already employed in Canada.
The programme received nearly 80,000 applications until it was shut down in November 2021. By the end of 2022, the IRCC intends to launch a brand-new programme with similar features.What are the available pathways for permanent residency under the TR to PR immigration programs?
The purpose of the TR to PR immigration pathways, which were established through special public policies, is to grant permanent status to temporary workers and foreign graduates who are already residing in Canada and who have the in-demand knowledge and expertise required to hasten Canada's economic recovery after the COVID 19 pandemic.
These announcements contained four special public policies that introduced the new routes to Canadian permanent residence and were published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

What occupations in the TR to PR immigration program qualify as an Essential Worker?
To qualify under one of the public policies targeting Essential Workers, applicants must have at least 1 year of Canadian work experience in the last 3 years in one of the targeted occupations. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada have identified around 100 occupations that are considered essential.
How do I apply to one of the TR to PR immigration programs?
Every application must be submitted electronically and include the relevant public policy under which the applicant qualifies. In order to handle applications submitted under one of the TR to PR immigration programmes, the IRCC recently launched a new application portal.

Applicants will need to pay total processing fee of $1050CAD when they submit their application under one of these permanent residency programs.
If an accompanying spouse or common-law partner is also included in the application, the applicant will also need to pay the processing fee for an accompanying spouse and dependent children.
